Bahçeşehir University (BAU) is a private educational institution in Turkey, located around the Bosporus in Istanbul and was established in 1998. Its main campus is in Besiktas, on the edge of the Bosphorus, often known as the Strait of Istanbul. A free boat shuttle service for all students and staff links the four campuses: Besiktas North, Besiktas South, Göztepe and Galata.
It is considered one of the best privately owned universities in Turkey and according to 2023 Urapcenter.org rankings, BAU is one of top 13 private Universities in Turkey.
