1. The applicant shall be a non-Chinese citizen holding an ordinary foreign passport, with good conduct, friendly to China and no criminal record.
2. Students who apply for their undergraduate degree should have HSK Chinese language level level 4 or above (including level 4) and have good high school grades.
3. Age under 25 years old.
4. Are not funded by the Chinese government or other domestic organizations.
5. Each applicant can only apply for one major, and applying for multiple majors will be deemed invalid.
6. The university will organize experts to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the applicant's academic performance, language ability, academic ability, scientific research achievements and tutors' opinions, and decide whether to award the scholarship and the type of scholarship.
7. Scholarship winners who provide the pre-graduation certificate need to submit their degree certificate within the specified time. If they fail to submit the scholarship on time, their scholarship qualification will be automatically cancelled.
8. Scholarship winners must go through the registration procedures at the time stipulated by the university. Those who fail to register after the deadline without approval will be treated as automatically abandoning their school status, and the scholarship qualification will be automatically cancelled and recorded in the school enrollment integrity record.

If you want to book our guardian service, you need to pay and book it 2 months before the application deadline, just in case your application fails because of failed to submit application documents in time.

1. Home page of the passport. The applicant must submit a clear scanned copy of the front page of the Japanese ordinary passport valid later than March 1,2024. If the validity period of the current passport does not meet the requirements, please issue a new passport in time;
2. Registration photo. Applicants must upload their own color two-inch bareheaded registration photo, white background without border, size 100-500 KB, JPG format;
3. Guarantee of guardian of minor students. Applicants under the age of 18 shall submit the entrustment certificate signed by their guardian in China;
4. Maximum education certificate (color scan original). If the applicant is a student, he / she must submit the expected graduation certificate or school certificate issued by the school. Text other than Chinese and English shall be accompanied by notarized translations of Chinese or English;
5. Study transcripts. The scanned copies should include grades from high school, undergraduate (if any) or master's (if any) up to the latest semester. The transcript shall be issued and sealed by the academic Affairs Office, the graduate school or the relevant student management department of the university, and the text other than Chinese and English shall be accompanied with notarized translations of Chinese or English;
6. Plan to study or study in China. The content should include the basic information of personal application, personal statements, existing research results, research objectives and specific learning plans (more than 1,000 words), post-graduation plans, and the content can only be written in Chinese or English;
7. Proof of language ability. Applicants for Chinese teaching programs should have a qualified HSK certificate; applicants for English teaching programs should have IELTS or TOEFL transcripts, or proof of pre-degree taught in English;
8. A copy of the foreigner Physical Examination Form (the original shall be kept by itself. This form shall be uniformly printed by the Chinese Health and Quarantine Department and shall be filled in in English). The applicant shall be inspected in strict accordance with the items required in the Foreign Physical checklist. The "Foreign Physical Examination Form" with missing items, no photo or the sewing seal on the photo, and the doctor and the hospital is invalid, and the examination results are valid for 6 months;
9. No proof of a criminal record. The applicant shall submit the certificate of no criminal record within the period of validity issued by the local public security organ, usually less than 6 months before the date of application submission;
10. Publish papers, award certificates, work or internship certificates and other materials (if any).
11. Introduce yourself by the video. The contents include: (1) self-introduction; (2) understanding of China; and (3) study plan in China. Format: AVI, mov, mp4 can be three kinds, the language according to the application of professional teaching language, the size of 50M, the length is not more than 180 seconds;
12. Fresh graduates in China must submit the residence permit page in China and the school performance certificate issued by their current school.

1. CSCA Test Transcript(s)

   • You need to take the official CSCA test organized by the Chinese government and submit the corresponding subject result transcript(s) when applying.
   • The test covers Chinese (Humanities and STEM Chinese), Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Mathematics is required for all programs, while other subjects depend on the university’s specific requirements.
   • We are updating detailed information for each university, including the required subjects you have to take for each program and their score requirements. Once the updates are ready, you can check the attachment and information here for this university for the latest information. If no attachment is available yet, it usually means the university has not announced further details.

I: Further Explanation of Documents You Need to Provide:

1. Passport
   • A clear, full-color scan of your passport information page, showing your name, passport number, expiration date, and photo.
   • Some universities may also require blank visa pages, so you are advised to upload a few blank pages as well.
2. Photo
   • A recent passport-sized ID photo (2 x 2 inches) with a plain white background.
   • Full face visible, no headwear (except for religious reasons).
   • Taken within the last 6 months.
3. Highest Degree Graduation Certificate
   • A formal graduation certificate of your highest completed education level (e.g., Senior High School, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree).
   • If the document is not in Chinese or English, it must be translated into Chinese or English and notarized by an authorized translation agency or relevant authority. Self-translations are not accepted.
4. Highest Degree Academic Transcripts
   • Formal academic transcripts of your highest completed education level (e.g., Senior High School, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree), covering ALL academic years, NOT just the final year.
   • If the document is not in Chinese or English, it must be translated into Chinese or English and notarized by an authorized translation agency or relevant authority. Self-translations are not accepted.
5. Chinese Language Proficiency Certificate For Chinese Medium Programs
   • For Bachelor’s degree programs taught in Chinese, HSK Level 4 or above with a minimum score of 180 is usually required.
   • For Master’s degree programs, HSK Level 5 with a score of 180 or above is generally required. A few universities may require HSK Level 6.
   • Higher scores and levels are preferred.
6. English Language Proficiency Certificate For English Medium Programs
   • IELTS (6.0 or above) or TOEFL iBT (90 or above) is generally preferred.
   • If you are unable to provide these test results, you may submit alternative proof, such as a Duolingo English Test score or an official English proficiency certificate issued by your previous school/university, stating that the medium of instruction was English.
   • Higher scores are preferred.
7. Non-criminal Record Certificate
   • Please note that this document is generally valid for only 6 months(Few may require 3 months). For instance, if you submit your application in March, your non-criminal record must have been issued no earlier than September of the previous year.
   • Obtain this certificate from the local police station of your current residence, confirming that you have had no criminal record during the 6 months prior to the date of issuance.
   • If you are currently in China, the certificate must be issued by the local Chinese police.
   • If the document is not in Chinese or English, it must be translated and notarized by an authorized agency or relevant authority. Self-translations are not accepted.
8. Physical Examination Form
   • Download the form template, print it, and bring it to a hospital for the required medical tests. The hospital will complete the form with your results.
   • The medical examination must cover all items listed on the form.
   • Ensure your photo is attached and the form is stamped and signed by the hospital after the examination.
   • The medical results are valid for 6 months only, and few universities will require the report you did within the past 3 months.
   • Forms that are incomplete, lack a final physician’s suggestion, missing the attending physician’s signature, official hospital stamp, or applicant’s sealed photo or contain abnormal examination results will be considered invalid.
   • The document must be in English or Chinese.

II: If you ever studied in China, you MUST provide these extra documents:

1. A Non-objection Transfer Certificate(无异议转学证明).

   Issued by your previous Chinese university. This document should include your personal information, academic performance (including attendance), estimated graduation date, and your current university’s approval of your transfer application. It must also contain the university’s contact information (email and phone), issue date, and official stamp.

2. Scanned copies of all passport pages with entry and exit stamps for China.
3. Scanned copies of all visa pages (X1, X2, T, or others) and residence permit pages (if applicable).
4. A Recommendation Letter From Previous Chinese University.

Some universities may also request a recommendation letter from your previous university or other supporting documents.

III: If you are under 18 years old, you MUST provide these extra documents:

1. Notarized Guardian's Letter of Commitment
   • Students under 18 must find a Chinese guardian who resides in the same city as the university you are applying to, and complete the notarization process as guided in our tutorial video.
   • Upload a scanned copy of the notarized Guardian’s Letter of Commitment. This document must be certified in your home country and notarized in China.
   • Please note that a Notarization of Declaration (声明公证) issued in China is eventually required.
   • A scanned copy is acceptable at the initial stage. If the university later requires the original document or additional materials, we will inform you.
