• Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport, between the ages of 18 and 30.

ii. Good health, meet the corresponding professional admission conditions: proper eye sights with no color vision deficiency; normal function of hearing, smell and expression; Anyone with infectious diseases (hepatitis B, HIV, syphilis，tuberculosis, etc.) and chronic diseases are required to be completely cured before applying; Applicants with a history of mental disorder are not recommended to apply. International School has the rights to terminate student’s application who don't meet the health requirements.

iii. Comply with the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China and the relevant regulations of the Capital Medical University (CMU).

iv. English Requirements:

• Native English speakers do not need to take English examination.

(ii) Students who attend English speaking secondary schools need to provide evidence in order to waive the English examination.

(iii) We require the score report of TOEFL/IELTS or other English test certificate for all international applicants whose primary native language is not English and who attend a non-English speaking secondary school. Minimum scores of 80 on TOEFL or 6.0 on the IELTS are recommended.

• High school graduates or higher degrees with qualifying grades of mathematics, physics, and chemistry.

vi. Requirements of the regulations set in the Document No. 12 (2020) of Ministry of Education of the PRC should be met：According to the regulations released by Ministry of Education, China, if parent(s) was (were) a Chinese citizen settling in a foreign country at the time applicants were born, applicants must have obtained their current foreign citizenship before April 30, 2019. In addition, the applicant must have lived outside China for at least 2 years during the period between April 30, 2019 and April 30, 2023.

Emigrants from Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan applying as international students must have obtained their current foreign citizenship before April 30, 2019. In addition, the applicant must have lived outside China for at least 2 years during the period between April 30, 2019 and April 30, 2023.

10. Statement of Financial Support for International Students

    The guarantor’s own or the student’s Bank Deposit Certificate (The minimum amount should be 15,000 USD).

11. You need to take the official CSCA test organized by the Chinese government and submit the corresponding subject result transcript(s).    • You need to take the official CSCA test organized by the Chinese government and submit the corresponding subject result transcript(s) when applying.
   • The test covers Chinese (Humanities and STEM Chinese), Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Mathematics is required for all programs, while other subjects depend on the university’s specific requirements.
   • We are updating detailed information for each university, including the required subjects you have to take for each program and their score requirements. Once the updates are ready, you can check the attachment and information here for this university for the latest information. If no attachment is available yet, it usually means the university has not announced further details.
   • Mathematics is compulsory; choose one between Physics and Chemistry.

I: Further Explanation of Documents You Need to Provide:

1. Passport
   • A clear, full-color scan of your passport information page, showing your name, passport number, expiration date, and photo.
   • Some universities may also require blank visa pages, so you are advised to upload a few blank pages as well.
2. Photo
   • A recent passport-sized ID photo (2 x 2 inches) with a plain white background.
   • Full face visible, no headwear (except for religious reasons).
   • Taken within the last 6 months.
3. Highest Degree Graduation Certificate
   • A formal graduation certificate of your highest completed education level (e.g., Senior High School, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree).
   • If the document is not in Chinese or English, it must be translated into Chinese or English and notarized by an authorized translation agency or relevant authority. Self-translations are not accepted.
4. Highest Degree Academic Transcripts
   • Formal academic transcripts of your highest completed education level (e.g., Senior High School, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree), covering ALL academic years, NOT just the final year.
   • If the document is not in Chinese or English, it must be translated into Chinese or English and notarized by an authorized translation agency or relevant authority. Self-translations are not accepted.
5. Chinese Language Proficiency Certificate For Chinese Medium Programs
   • For Bachelor’s degree programs taught in Chinese, HSK Level 4 or above with a minimum score of 180 is usually required.
   • For Master’s degree programs, HSK Level 5 with a score of 180 or above is generally required. A few universities may require HSK Level 6.
   • Higher scores and levels are preferred.
6. English Language Proficiency Certificate For English Medium Programs
   • IELTS (6.0 or above) or TOEFL iBT (90 or above) is generally preferred.
   • If you are unable to provide these test results, you may submit alternative proof, such as a Duolingo English Test score or an official English proficiency certificate issued by your previous school/university, stating that the medium of instruction was English.
   • Higher scores are preferred.
7. Non-criminal Record Certificate
   • Please note that this document is generally valid for only 6 months(Few may require 3 months). For instance, if you submit your application in March, your non-criminal record must have been issued no earlier than September of the previous year.
   • Obtain this certificate from the local police station of your current residence, confirming that you have had no criminal record during the 6 months prior to the date of issuance.
   • If you are currently in China, the certificate must be issued by the local Chinese police.
   • If the document is not in Chinese or English, it must be translated and notarized by an authorized agency or relevant authority. Self-translations are not accepted.
8. Physical Examination Form
   • Download the form template, print it, and bring it to a hospital for the required medical tests. The hospital will complete the form with your results.
   • The medical examination must cover all items listed on the form.
   • Ensure your photo is attached and the form is stamped and signed by the hospital after the examination.
   • The medical results are valid for 6 months only, and few universities will require the report you did within the past 3 months.
   • Forms that are incomplete, lack a final physician’s suggestion, missing the attending physician’s signature, official hospital stamp, or applicant’s sealed photo or contain abnormal examination results will be considered invalid.
   • The document must be in English or Chinese.

II: If you ever studied in China, you MUST provide these extra documents:

1. A Non-objection Transfer Certificate(无异议转学证明).

   Issued by your previous Chinese university. This document should include your personal information, academic performance (including attendance), estimated graduation date, and your current university’s approval of your transfer application. It must also contain the university’s contact information (email and phone), issue date, and official stamp.

2. Scanned copies of all passport pages with entry and exit stamps for China.
3. Scanned copies of all visa pages (X1, X2, T, or others) and residence permit pages (if applicable).
4. A Recommendation Letter From Previous Chinese University.

Some universities may also request a recommendation letter from your previous university or other supporting documents.

III: If you are under 18 years old, you MUST provide these extra documents:

1. Notarized Guardian's Letter of Commitment
   • Students under 18 must find a Chinese guardian who resides in the same city as the university you are applying to, and complete the notarization process as guided in our tutorial video.
   • Upload a scanned copy of the notarized Guardian’s Letter of Commitment. This document must be certified in your home country and notarized in China.
   • Please note that a Notarization of Declaration (声明公证) issued in China is eventually required.
   • A scanned copy is acceptable at the initial stage. If the university later requires the original document or additional materials, we will inform you.
